RSTA to close Ploenchit Road Area for International Noodle Festival
Over 40 five- star restaurants to participate in the fair
Ratchaprasong Square Trade Association in conjunction with Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and Tourism Authority of Thailand is organizing “Taste It All @ Ratchaprasong - Oodles of Noodles 2006” festival during November 2-4, 2006. The fair will take place on the Gaysorn Shopping Center and Amarin Plaza section of Ploenchit Road stretching to the front and flanks of Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok and Erawan Bangkok. Over 40 restaurants from member shopping complexes and hotels will join the event which will offer special promotions by Siam Commercial Bank, Heineken, and Bangkok Post, Post Today.

The Residence, Grand Hyatt Erawan, September 29, 2006 – Ratchaprasong Square Trade Association (RSTA) President Chai Srivikorn said today that the organization is holding “Taste It All @ Ratchaprasong – Oodles of Noodles 2006” festival during November 2- 4, 2006 with over 40 restaurants from member hotels such as Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok, InterContinental Bangkok and Holiday Inn Bangkok as well as member department stores namely Gaysorn, Erawan Bangkok , CentralWorld and Amarin Plaza participating in the festive event.

Noodle lovers will delight in a wide range of international noodle menus which master chefs are preparing especially for this festival. Participating restaurants include:

  • Erawan Bangkok: Kitchen Paradiso, Nara and Blue Dragon
  • Gaysorn: Bar Italia and Xinn Tien Di;
  • Holiday Inn Bangkok: Cham Thai;
  • InterContinental Bangkok: Summer Place and Espresso;
  • Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok: Erawan Tea Room, The Chinese Restaurant, Spasso and You & Mee;
  • President Tower Arcade : Beijing 9, Fogo Vivo, Matteo, Sawasdee, Haveli and Scala Shark’s Fin;
  • CentralWorld: Mixt and China White.
  • Amarin Plaza’s The Cook: Dee-ded Suki, Kolieng’s Yen Ta Fo, Nai Toa Ratchaburi, Pad Thai Noodles by Nai Mak and Khun Tom’s Desserts;

“Special performances which combine Thai elegance with contemporary novelty will be staged to ensure a memorable experience,” Mr.Chai said.

“The association has also joined hands with Siam Commercial Bank in offering 30% discounts to those who use SCB cards to pay at the Buffet Parade and joining exclusive cooking workshops with master chefs from Ratchaprasong restaurants, as well as getting an extra 5% discount on top of 5-15% already offered during October 15- November 30, 2006.

“This festival would not be successful without the support and cooperation of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Pathumwan district office and Tourism Authority of Thailand as well as the main sponsors which are Siam Commercial Bank, Heineken and Bangkok Post. Also, very important is the participation by all members namely Amarin Plaza, CentralWorld, Erawan Bangkok, Gaysorn, Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok, Holiday Inn Bangkok, InterContinental Bangkok, Maneeya Center, President Tower Arcade.” Mr.Chai added   

BMA Permanent Secretary Khunying Nattanon Thaweesin said Ratchaprasong Square Trade Association’s (RSTA) decision to hold this festival reflects the organisation’s strength and unity which has resulted in Ratchaprasong becoming one of Bangkok’s important tourist attractions. She pointed to Ratchaprasong area’s unique features such as its large shopping complexes which offer a variety of both Thai and brand name products, over 40 great restaurants and also revered religious shrines as helping boost tourism both in Bangkok and the whole of Thailand.
