A spectacular procession of royal barges at nighttime in Honor of His Majesty the King for 60th Anniversary Celebrations of His Majesty Accession to the Throne

The melodious sweet sound of Thai poem switching by the sound of the 2,200 rowers which reverberated all over the river bend attracted the audience from 2 sides of The Chao Phraya River who had concentrated waiting to see a spectacular procession of royal barges. The sun was nearly gone in a little while, but when darkness came, it helped the light of the throne halls to be remarkable in golden, emphasizing the deluxe background. According to the 60th Anniversary Celebrations of His Majesty Accession to the Throne, The Chao Praya River was blissful with Thai people. A spectacular procession of royal barges sailed in the river. Royal Thai Navy Institute and Thai Navy Convention Hall were the place for His Majesty the King, the royalty, Kings and Queens from 27countries to watch the procession of royal barges. When 52 barges eventually sailed nearby, people were stunt as if they were attracted by magic. The rowers were on their duties, rhythmically piercing the river by the singing of Thai poems. The sound of paddle collided with water was obviously heard. The four Major barges, the Subanahongsa, the Anantanagaraj, , the Anekajatibhujonga, or Innumerable Naga Figures and the Narai Song Suban King Rama IX sailed on the Chao Phraya River.
The best place to watch a procession of royal barges is at Royal Thai Navy Institute which will not allow people to be there on 12th June 2006, but 2 sides of The Chao Phraya River from the Vasukri Landing to the front of Kanyanamitra Temple are the place that people can go and watch the procession of royal barges clearly. There will be a non-free and free open area. Free open areas are Suan Santi Chai Prakan Park, Rama VIII Park, path way beside The Chao Phraya River from Suan Santi Chai Prakan park to Phr Pinklao Bridge, Thammasat University. At Thon Buri side will be at Wat Rakang Kositaram, Wat Arunrajawararam, Wat Kanlayanamitra and Sirirat Hospital.
